Rebirth released to the android market!

The moment has arrived! You have read the sneak peak. You have seen the screenshots. And now we have finally launched Rebirth to the android market. :) After several month of hard labor and multiple beta tests you can now enjoy Rebirth in all its glory on your device. Grab it from the android market while it is hot! :)

Rebirth is a unique puzzler in the tradition of other falling block games but comes with a special twist. A block comes in two colors and it is your job to create quads (2x2 blocks) of the same color to delete the blocks. Rebirth features multiple special blocks and different game modes so a lot of fun is guaranteed. Never the less a video says more than a 1000 words. So here comes the official trailer for Rebirth:

We also added OpenFeint support to bring you high scores and social aspects. The game is based on libgdx, an awesome cross-platform game development library written in java. This allowed us to support many different form factors from tablets to small phones. We are very happy with the current state of the game but are already busily working on new and exciting features.

For now we would love to get some feedback from you. Do you like the game? Does the visual style work for you? Are the controls satisfactory? Any feedback and a vote in the android market is welcome. :)

Terminal5 introduces OpenFeint support, Level Labs and more

It is finally here! :) The latest update of Terminal5 brings you all the good things we have talked about in recent posts. Most notably we have added the ability to earn achievements and to record your score. Not only do we keep track of your progress when playing locally, terminal5 is now fully integrated into the social gaming platform OpenFeint. This allows you to share your achievements and progress online with your friends and foes.

The second major addition is a new feature we call the Level Labs. Our heads are full of cool new ideas to enrich the board with new gameplay elements and we want you to help us shape the future of the game. For that purpose we have created the Level Labs, showcasing new board elements for you to try out and rate with a simple feedback system. We will change the levels in the Level Labs periodically so that you have new levels to play all the time. Once we have tested enough board elements we will create a whole new set of campaigns based on your feedback.

But there is more to this update... The first thing you will see is a completely redesigned menu ui. The blue theme ties the whole gaming experience together making the gaming experience more cohesive. The screenshots at the end of this post show you what i am talking about. :)

But to stay in the tradition of previous update posts, here is a full list of changes brought to you in Terminal5 version 1.1:
  • Added achievements and scores to track your progress
  • Full support for OpenFeint with online achievement and leaderboards
  • More levels in the Level Labs and new feedback system
  • Introduced the new board element "trap"
  • Redesigned and polished user interface in the menus
  • The levels now reflect the color of their parent campaign in the background
  • Greatly improved responsiveness of touch events when selecting commands and other UI elements
  • The reset button in a level now only removes the last command inserted and not all of them
  • Added ability to restart a running level from the context menu or when dying during the game
  • Fixed several bugs you would never have heard of ;)
We hope you will enjoy the new features we have introduced and are looking forward to your feedback.

You can get the full and lite version of the game in the android market:

Terminal5 gets the all new Level Labs

While working hard to bring you the next major update to Terminal5, we want to share with you some more cool features we are working on at the moment. Besides the support of OpenFeint, we are working on a new feature called "Level Labs". We have so many ideas for new board elements, that we have a created a special area in Terminal5 where we give you the chance to try them out.

In the Level Labs we will add a couple of new levels every 1-2 weeks where we experiment with new board elements. After you have played the levels, we would love to get your feedback through a newly created ingame rating and commenting system. When a board element is considered worthy we will create a whole new chapter of campaigns containing new board elements from the Level Labs and the current campaign.

Check out the following screenshot to see the Level Labs in action and also to get a glimpse of our all new menu theme

The new update is only a few days away so stay tuned. :)

Support for OpenFeint in the making

Curios about the new upcoming features in Terminal5? Well, among other things we are heavily working on the integration of the social gaming platform OpenFeint. We will make full use of the ability to earn achievements which in turn rewards you with OpenFeint points.

Of course those of you not on OpenFeint yet, can also hunt down the achievements locally. The following listing should give you an idea of the kinds of the achievements you can earn. Can you guess which one is which? :)
